Good Fences Make Good Neighbors
Author: GreenThumbs
Having lived in all sorts of accommodations, I can attest to the fact that good fences make good neighbors. We get along really well with our neighbors on either side of us in our Redmond house. Still, we wanted to create more of a private, intimate space in our backyard.
We explained this to our landscape designer and she assured us that we could use various plantings to block our backyard from view. The Redmond landscaping solutions she came up with were incredible. The flowering plants and trees she guided us to give us plenty of privacy without screaming “do not enter” in the same manner a six foot tall fence would. After all, we do want our neighbors to visit our backyard sometimes, just not all the time.
Light Up the Night in Your Garden
Author: GreenThumbs
Hard-working gardeners are always eager to show off the fruits of their labor, especially in spring and summertime. All that time and effort they apply to cultivating colorful blossoms and blooms pays off when a friend or family member pays the garden a compliment. But for the longest time those with green thumbs were unable to display their talents at night without running up the electrical bill.
Now, thanks to solar landscape lights, the flowers can be the star of the show at night as well as during the day. Such lights can be placed strategically among the foliage in order to draw the eye from one plant to the next. This provides a sense of organization and artistry. There’s no reason to wait until dawn to delight in the sight of your flowers when solar lights are now so practical. Kirkland landscaping can assist you with lighting ideas for your garden.

If you’re tired of struggling to keep your lawn looking fresh and clean, it might be time to hire a professional. Don’t feel bad. With a full-time job, kids and a social life to juggle, everything else seems to take the back seat as countless details on a to-do list. With the right landscaping company, you can have your yard looking pristine in no time.
In seeking out Seattle landscape plans, you will have plenty of magnificent options to choose from when it comes to the refurbishing of your yard. Once of my favorite looks is the addition of flower beds; something as simple as flowers can introduce a soft-natured appeal to your lawn. Another gorgeous and quite popular option is to introduce exotic plants into your yard for an extra push of pizzazz – I recommend red Japanese maples
Indoor-Outdoor Entertaining
Author: GreenThumbs
The Pacific Northwest is renowned for being a temperate rain forest, meaning our environment is greener than most. You can take advantage of the beauty that abounds in the region by transforming part of your living space into a seamless indoor-outdoor entertainment area. By that we mean, consider adding large windows or French doors out onto a covered patio. The windows and doors will let in the light and create a flow between the indoor and outdoor space.
Next, you’ll want to consider the patio as an extension of your living room or family room. Incorporate Seattle landscape architecture into your design choices. Pick fabrics and furniture that complement your indoor furnishings. Brighten up your yard with colorful plants and planters. This task may seem overwhelming, so you may want to consult a professional landscaper on your project. A professional will let you be as hands on as you want while steering you towards options you may not have known about or considered before.

Planning an outdoor space can be an overwhelming task. With the help of a landscaping firm the task can be made manageable. Still, when you meet with your landscape designer, it is important to bring some of your own ideas to the table. After all, your outdoor space should be a reflection of your personality and tastes.
One way to get inspiration and narrow down a focus is by simply observing the nature around you. Take a walk in your Northwest neighborhood and snap pictures of your favorite Seattle landscaping. Present pictures of colorful plants, walkway styles, and patio furnishings you admire to your designer. This will give them a better sense of your likes and dislikes they should keep in mind when planning your improved landscaping.

Notable Attractions in Bellevue, WA

Bellevue, across the water from Seattle, is an urban metropolis which features cultural diversity, contemporary comforts, and excellent food. Though not near the size of Seattle, Bellevue’s downtown area features some of the tallest buildings in Washington, and home to some recognized global corporations including Symetra, Eddie Bauer, and T-Mobile. Bellevue is also known for high technology, with Microsoft’s North American Sales Group headquarters occupying the top half of the Lincoln Square office tower, and game development giant Valve (makers of Half-Life, Team Fortress, Counter Strike) located downtown. Bellevue has placed itself as a premier Northwest destination for shopping, with its renowned Bellevue Square; a multiple story indoor mall featuring hundreds of different stores and famous Northwest restaurants like Red Robin.
Despite Bellevue’s urban metropolis downtown, the city features several suburban areas in which residential homes are located. If you want to be located in the heart of the city, you probably will have to be within a few feet of your neighbors. However, there are many areas with exquisite Bellevue landscape designs and ample room to raise a family.

In the digital age, it’s not surprising to find that even social networking websites are becoming hubs for real estate agents to reach out to potential homebuyers. The real estate market is tough for sellers right now, and real estate agents are working on doing all that is possible to sell their client’s homes. This includes listing in classifieds, on websites like Craigslist, and now using social networking websites. In King County, a number of successful Kirkland real estate agents have started to use Twitter to help locate clients. Twitter users follow real estate agent’s tweets and then are able to browse Kirkland residential plans and homes for sale. This trend is continuing around the country, with real estate agents capitalizing on the popularity of Twitter to reach out to all the potential homebuyers in the area.
While it might be some time before real estate agents know whether listing their real estate on Twitter is successful, for now, most have seen significant increases in traffic to their websites offering real estate. Buyers would also be wise to check out social media websites when looking for real estate; it’s possible to locate a great deal.
Home Options in Redmond
Author: GreenThumbs
Serving as the center for technology in the Northwest, Redmond has a sizable population living at several different income levels. Thus, housing in the Redmond area is quite diverse; you will find several neighborhoods with homes valued in the millions, featuring elaborate Redmond landscape designs, as well as smaller locations with apartments, condos, and more affordable housing. Because home prices differ so much in Redmond, it can be difficult to find homes within your price range in the area where you want to live.
Redmond is a sprawling town that spans a lot of distance; the more residential part of Redmond near I-405 is much different from the area surrounding Redmond Town Center. In most cases, looking for homes on your own can offer more privacy, but if you’re serious about finding an ideal home, browsing with a realtor allows you access to someone with years of experience who knows the area.
The Allure of Kirkland

While not a town of great renown outside of Washington State, with its prime location close to Seattle, Bellevue, and Redmond, Kirkland is one of the best places to live in Washington. Kirkland is a smaller town that is home to thousands of people who work in the city but prefer the comforts of a more suburban environment. Kirkland and Sammamish (located a few miles away) are some of the most common locations for Microsoft employees to live, as Redmond real estate can be quite expensive.
For people in the Northwest who work in the city but want to live in a more rural environment, Kirkland is an ideal location. Kirkland is surrounded by forest and offers a plethora of waterfront view, and one of the true evergreen towns within the Evergreen State. You can also add your own personal touch with distincitive Kirkland landscape designs.
