seattle outdoor fireplaces

For quite some time, King County has had an excess of housing inventory despite construction of new homes remaining low. However, it seems that if new construction remains at its current rate of growth, the housing inventory will be back to a more balanced level by the summer of 2010. It’s common to think that all construction stopped after July 2008, but in truth, there are several Seattle real estate projects breaking ground all the time.  Many of the new projects are compact townhomes, which builders seem to have discovered a niche for throughout the Seattle area and often feature luxurious accommodations, such as Seattle outdoor fireplaces.

If construction projects see significant growth, it could be more than eight years before the excess housing inventory on the market is absorbed.  But regardless, because of the excess inventory available, now is a great time to browse new, old, and bank foreclosed homes in the Seattle area.  There are some great deals to be found.

Seattle landscape designs

Seattle isn’t known as the Emerald City for nothing. The city is green in more ways that one, in fact. The first way should be obvious to anyone who has been lucky enough to live in or just visit the area: the high rates of rain fall keep trees and other plants displaying their full colors for a majority of the year. And of course most residents pride themselves on recycling, composting and otherwise practicing good environmental etiquette.

However, just like any city, living in Seattle proper presents a few restrictions. Even the most expansive yards in the city might be small potatoes compared to an average suburban yard, so it’s important to make every last square inch count. That’s where Seattle landscape designs come into play. Landscaping consultants can provide you with assistance as a homeowner trying to beautify your outdoor space.

Making the Most of Your Seattle View

Everyone wants their home to feel safe, secure, and comfortable. And one of the easiest ways to achieve this is through personal touches to that home. Whether this is a remodeled master bedroom or the ideal kitchen, everyone should create and embellish these touches with their own personal preferences in mind. If you live in Seattle, for example, you might be lucky enough to have a stunning view from your back deck or outdoor patio. If that’s the case, make sure that the area is as comfortable as possible.

To that end, make sure all the outdoor furniture is comfortable and capable of withstanding year round outdoor conditions. You might also want to look into luxuries such as Seattle outdoor fireplaces. Everyone in Seattle knows the nights can be a bit chilly, which is why a fireplace is such a great outdoor addition. Not only will it add aesthetic appeal and luxury, but it will also add some concrete warmth and practical benefit.

Fixing Up Your West Seattle Yard

If you live right in the heart of downtown Seattle, landscaping can be a bit of a joke for you. After all, many of the buildings in this area are either apartments or condos, and they come with little to no yard space. With this information, make sure that you take this into account if you’re looking for a place to live. If having a yard is something that’s important to you, you might be better off looking into some of the outlying Seattle areas such as West Seattle.

In this area, there are plenty of high end houses that will also allow you the chance to get some yard work in on the weekends. If you’ve purchased a house in this area, though, you might find that the yard is a bit lacking. If that’s the case, consider looking into some companies that can help you with your Seattle landscape planning. By calling in the professionals, you can transform any small plot of yard into something impressive. And if you’re blessed with a green thumb, you can also undertake this project yourself.

seattlelandscapingsundance-sundancelandscaping.jpgThe Northwest is home to unique conditions of soil, precipitation, and weather, which can make for some fantastic landscapes.  Washington is known as the Evergreen State for a reason, and when it comes to landscaping, it’s important to think green.  Landscaping in the Northwest incorporates soil, stone, coniferous and deciduous trees, green plants and even flowers during the spring and summer.  In Seattle, some business buildings have incorporated beautiful landscapes into their front lawns or even rooftops, and Seattle landscaping at large is well known for its greenery.  Seattle is also hope to a significant number of eco-friendly buildings, and as a major city, Seattle is one of the premier locations in the United States for the promotion of environmental awareness.

Homeowners living around Seattle take pride in their landscaping, often opting to garden themselves or hire out to professionals.  In the Evergreen State it’s important to have a green yard and a green lawn, otherwise the state might risk being renamed!
