Bringing the Party Outside
Author: GreenThumbs
There’s nothing better than a summer evening at Uncle Dave’s place having barbecue; his house is tailor-made for summertime events. When he first moved in, Uncle Dave researched Bellevue outdoor kitchens and had an extravagant model installed. Grilling flank steak, sausages and hot dogs is a cinch, and while they’re cooking we also have the capacity to prepare the side dishes outside. My favorite time is rolling around on the lawn playing with my uncle’s dog Rufus while waiting for the food to get ready.
Uncle Dave also has a pool, so he is very popular with the neighborhood kids. When the dog days of summer hit neighbor kids often knock on his door asking to go for a swim. This gets annoying after a while, so sometimes he turns off his lights and pretends like he’s not home.
Looking For That Festive Atmosphere?

Every summer, garden parties are a pleasure to look forward to for me and my family. It is always a delight reuniting with other family members to catch up with them.
Aside from preparing sumptuous meals for everybody to enjoy, I also make it a point to decorate my garden in such a way that all of my guests will feel comfortable and at-home. I always start with my garden landscaping which I usually do weeks ahead. This year I have even employed the aid of some professionals to develop some Seattle outdoor kitchen plans. And then when it’s time to accentuate my garden, hanging colorful and illuminating garden lanterns always does the trick. Garden lanterns instantly give my patio and deck a festive ambiance.
Estimating the Value of Your Home

Putting your house up for sale is a big step. It requires many personal considerations, of course - where to move being foremost among them. But even assuming you know exactly what you want from your next home, it’s comparatively difficult to put the old one on the market.
Buying a house is easy enough. You assess your finances, line up any loans you might need, locate a realtor and begin making offers. But to sell, you must set a price. Until recently, there was no clear-cut way to immediately determine the value of your home. Realtor.com has solved that problem by revealing the closing-sales prices of homes in more than 20 metropolitan areas across the country. Those figures are updated daily.
The value of one’s home depends on a number of factors, and unfortunately, some of them are beyond the homeowner’s control. For instance, if a significant number of homes in a given neighborhood have gone into foreclosure, it decreases the value of the neighboring homes. Likewise, if a home is situated within a safe, well-manicured neighborhood of elegant houses, it gains value. When determining the value of your home, remember to include peripherals such as marble countertops or Seattle outdoor kitchens.
Excess Housing Inventory Could Disappear in 2010
Author: GreenThumbs
For quite some time, King County has had an excess of housing inventory despite construction of new homes remaining low. However, it seems that if new construction remains at its current rate of growth, the housing inventory will be back to a more balanced level by the summer of 2010. It’s common to think that all construction stopped after July 2008, but in truth, there are several Seattle real estate projects breaking ground all the time. Many of the new projects are compact townhomes, which builders seem to have discovered a niche for throughout the Seattle area and often feature luxurious accommodations, such as Seattle outdoor fireplaces.
If construction projects see significant growth, it could be more than eight years before the excess housing inventory on the market is absorbed. But regardless, because of the excess inventory available, now is a great time to browse new, old, and bank foreclosed homes in the Seattle area. There are some great deals to be found.

In the wake of the worst economic recession since the Great Depression, many homeowners are continuing to play it safe. Even if it’s not the best time to put your house on the market or to go house hunting in your own right, you should always keep an eye toward improving your property value. That way, when things really do turn around, you’ll have one of the most impressive, tempting options for potential buyers.
Upscale living comes naturally to residents of Bellevue. The people relocating there to take jobs at Microsoft and other local high-tech businesses are always looking for a home that reflects their nouveau riche status. Bellevue outdoor kitchen designs can serve to set your home apart from every other luxury home in the cul-de-sac. If you start the initial planning stages now, the work could be completed well before the onset of spring.

We’ve had a wonderful, unusually warm summer in Western Washington, but those sky-high temperatures seem to be winding down. There’s a distinct chill in the air again, and kids are already back-to-school shopping for fall. Still, we Pacific Northwesterners treasure our summers and want to hold on to every last second of them. Especially if you have an outdoor kitchen or entertainment area, you don’t want to move your parties and relaxation time indoors just yet!
It may be time to add a source of comforting warmth and light to your outdoor entertainment area. Bellevue outdoor fireplaces make great solutions to keep guests warm and homeowners happy. Fireplaces are more natural sources of warmth than radiant heat lamps, and the flicker of orange flames will bring a romantic atmosphere to your outdoor area. You can use your outdoor fireplace to warm up the cooler summer nights and toast your feet into the chilly fall.

If you love entertaining, you know one of the elements of a good party is a seamless transition from the meal to after-dinner socializing, as well as both indoor and outdoor space for guests. During the summer, Seattle residents absolutely love being outside and enjoying the rare warm nights, so having a beautiful outdoor area where your guests can relax is essential. A wonderfully luxurious asset for your home and entertaining needs is an outdoor kitchen. You can have all your summer barbeques outside while your guests lounge on chairs and couches and sip drinks from your outdoor bar or refrigerator.
Consult a company that specializes in Seattle outdoor kitchens to ensure that you get an amazing outdoor kitchen that is also appropriate for Seattle weather. While our summer weather is amazing, Seattle is very rainy the rest of the year, and your outdoor kitchen should be covered to protect your furniture and appliances. An outdoor kitchen specialist can also provide the appropriate landscaping around the area to make sure your outdoor kitchen doesn’t flood during heavy rainfall.

To that end, make sure all the outdoor furniture is comfortable and capable of withstanding year round outdoor conditions. You might also want to look into luxuries such as Seattle outdoor fireplaces. Everyone in Seattle knows the nights can be a bit chilly, which is why a fireplace is such a great outdoor addition. Not only will it add aesthetic appeal and luxury, but it will also add some concrete warmth and practical benefit.
