Excess Housing Inventory Could Disappear in 2010
Author: GreenThumbs
For quite some time, King County has had an excess of housing inventory despite construction of new homes remaining low. However, it seems that if new construction remains at its current rate of growth, the housing inventory will be back to a more balanced level by the summer of 2010. It’s common to think that all construction stopped after July 2008, but in truth, there are several Seattle real estate projects breaking ground all the time. Many of the new projects are compact townhomes, which builders seem to have discovered a niche for throughout the Seattle area and often feature luxurious accommodations, such as Seattle outdoor fireplaces.
If construction projects see significant growth, it could be more than eight years before the excess housing inventory on the market is absorbed. But regardless, because of the excess inventory available, now is a great time to browse new, old, and bank foreclosed homes in the Seattle area. There are some great deals to be found.
Western Washington’s Silicon Valley
Author: GreenThumbs
Western Washington serves as the headquarters for several recognized global corporations including Boeing, Microsoft, and Starbucks. These successful businesses enrich the Northwest with jobs and foster strong local communities. Redmond, a town located just north and east of Seattle, has become recognized as Western Washington’s own Silicon Valley. This suburban metropolis is the headquarters of global giant Microsoft, as well as Nintendo of America, and hundreds of other smaller software companies which often work in tandem with these two.
Because of the strong technological presence and the sheer amount of employees who work in the area, Redmond real estate is a hot commodity and there are thousands of unique Redmond residential plans to choose from. In addition to affordable homes for regular people, Redmond also features some of the most contemporary luxury homes in the United States today.
