The Allure of Kirkland
Author: GreenThumbs
While not a town of great renown outside of Washington State, with its prime location close to Seattle, Bellevue, and Redmond, Kirkland is one of the best places to live in Washington. Kirkland is a smaller town that is home to thousands of people who work in the city but prefer the comforts of a more suburban environment. Kirkland and Sammamish (located a few miles away) are some of the most common locations for Microsoft employees to live, as Redmond real estate can be quite expensive.
For people in the Northwest who work in the city but want to live in a more rural environment, Kirkland is an ideal location. Kirkland is surrounded by forest and offers a plethora of waterfront view, and one of the true evergreen towns within the Evergreen State. You can also add your own personal touch with distincitive Kirkland landscape designs.
Curb Appeal Sells Redmond Houses!
Author: GreenThumbs
When it comes to selling a home in a more suburban locale like Redmond, curb appeal is essential for enticing homebuyers. But like all updates and renovations, it’s important to receive an equal return on the investment. When selling Redmond houses, take a few cost effective steps to upgrade the exterior; start with purchasing a new mailbox, house numbers, doorbell, and knocker. This will run around $200, but makes the home look much better. It’s also a good idea to patch up the paint on the exterior of the home if there are spots which are faded or chipped. It doesn’t have to be a complete job, just make sure the paint is the same color! Having a green lawn is important in the Northwest, and investing in some Redmond landscaping will get your façade up to par.
Taking these steps will help sell the home and also help entice homebuyers. Sellers will be amazed at how much the curb appeal of the home affects a potential homebuyer’s decision. You can think of a home’s curb appeal as its “first impression”, and we all know how important first impressions can be!
