Using Bulbs Best
Author: GreenThumbs
Living in the Pacific Northwest certainly has its advantages when it comes to gardening. The ample rainfall and rich soil is ideal for many plants. My favorite plant, which absolutely thrives in this portion of the country, is the tulip.
With the help of the experts at a Seattle landscape designs firm, I have been able to keep my garden full of blossoming tulips every year. For starters, I always plant my tulip bulbs in a massive pot in an extremely sunny spot. I crowd in as many bulbs as possible, planting them twice the depth of the bulb in quality, well-draining potting soil. When the tulips are done flowering, I’ve tried, with some success, to transfer them to the ground in an effort to coax blooms next year.
Easy Outdoor Lighting Options

For a truly complete, beautiful landscape, outdoor lighting is a must-have. You’ll need walkway lighting to illuminate the various paths; whether they’re from the driveway to the front porch or just a winding path in your back garden. These lights can be found at your local hardware store or garden center.
Patio and garden lighting are also essential elements of a well-groomed landscape. Patio lights provide soft light, usually in the form of light posts, step lights, or string lights. Garden lighting is used to illuminate specific trees or plants. For help illuminating your yard, consider calling an expert like the folks over at Bellevue outdoor lighting.
