Process Overview

Before materials are ordered or ground is broken, we resolve how the site functions - how water moves, how slopes influence use, and how each element connects to the next. Major decisions are addressed early so that construction proceeds with confidence rather than adjustment.
This process reduces mid-project changes and supports the integrity of both budget and design intent. You see the scope and cost before installation begins, and each phase builds logically on the last. The goal is not speed, but stability and long-term performance.
PROJECT PHASES
Initial Consultation
We begin with an on-site working session to understand how the property currently performs and where it falls short. We review drainage behavior, slope conditions, utilities, access, and how you intend to use the space. This meeting clarifies priorities, identifies constraints, and determines whether landscape architecture, phased improvements, or targeted solutions are appropriate.
Concept Design & Estimate
Concept design resolves the major structural decisions first - circulation, grading strategy, hardscape layout, and primary gathering areas. These decisions form the framework for the entire project. A detailed cost estimate is prepared at this stage so scope and budget are aligned before moving forward. Adjustments are made early, when they are least disruptive.
Final Design & Pre-Construction Planning
Once the concept is approved, construction drawings and technical documentation are developed. This includes drainage detailing, material specifications, and planning for any required permits or HOA reviews. You review and approve the final plan before installation begins.
Construction & Installation
Construction follows documented plans and coordinated sequencing. Site preparation, grading, drainage systems, structural hardscape, and planting are completed in logical order. You maintain direct communication with the project lead throughout the build.
Completion & Maintenance Guidance
We conduct a final walkthrough to review performance expectations and address any adjustments. Guidance is provided on plant establishment, seasonal care, and how to support drainage and hardscape systems long-term.
